Welcome

David Santana was born in Los Angeles and raised in Orange County, California. His stage debut was an extremely nervous red-faced spear carrier in an elementary school production of Julius Caesar. He took a long break from the stage and decided to focus on school, athletics and writing until he rediscovered his love for performing through spoken word and acting as a freshman at UCSB; since then he has gotten over most of his stage fright. He is a senior in the Bachelor of Fine Arts Actor Training program at the University of California Santa Barbara and is proud to be the first in his family to graduate from a university.

He most recently appeared in Iphigenia 2.0 as Menelaus and walked on 3 foot stilts as Poseidon, God of the Sea, in The Trojan Women. He originated the role of Papi/Micheal/David in the world premier of Barbara Lebow’s play La Niñera. He wrote and performed his own one person show exploring the universal hero’s journey through poetry and clowning titled Lotus in the Flame and will continue to pursue his passion for language through dramatic writing, poetry and spoken word.

He is grateful for all of the opportunities and successes that have come his way and all the people who have helped him grow as an artist and human being. He will be heading back to Orange County in the summer to join his community of artists residing in Los Angeles and Santa Ana. He will continue to pursue his career in theater, film and television. David has also studied abroad and traveled through Europe and will continue to indulge in his love for travel and feeding his artistic soul by exploring everything this world and life has to offer big, small, complicated and simple.
